3.1 Phillip Lim RTW Fall 2012

Inspired by modern day superheroes, 3.1 Phillip Lim represented pieces for a grounded woman with an attainable lifestyle. Disciplined and designed to be practical, Lim delivered a refreshing Fall 2012 RTW collection. Amongst the most memorable pieces cream, brown, charcoal, and black were the core colors while burnt orange, teal, and shades of dark green were the fashion colors used in the palette. A distinct taupe leather and burnt orange fur jacket was unequivocally one of the boldest pieces in the collection followed by a straightforward cream blazer, closely fitted to the body. The blazer did not have a lapel while the shoulders had an aggressive right angle, giving the piece a clean cut and serious statement. The blazer was paired with a classic black turtleneck and light tan ankle length trousers accessorized with a clearly superhero inspired plastic belt, the look achieved levelheaded fashion. The line offers limitless variety in silhouette, length and appearance. Resiliently creased pants, knit dresses, knee length sweaters, oversized coats, and metal collars were delivered to the audience through a total of 41 flawless looks one simply cannot do without. The mist and music that filled the air provoked the emotion of danger and fright, when the first look hit the runway all feelings were diminished by the fierce and robustness feel to the clothing. All eyes were then concentrating on the superheroes Lim primed to save fashion week.
