App of the Week: Drunk Text Savior

We’ve been there before. And by there, we mean a night where we may have had a little bit too many. In the morning, after taking a sigh of relief that our phone made it home with us, we dread looking through those text messages we may not have sent had our judgment been a tad clearer. Drunk text messaging has been around as long as messaging itself, and it can get embarrassing after a while. No one enjoys making a fool of themselves to their newest crush or ex-boyfriend. That is why we are here to introduce our new favorite app, the Drunk Text Savior.

Drunk Text Savior works with your iPhone or iPad’s SMS to make sure your messages aren’t “too drunk.” First, it will show a photo of your contact to make sure that you are sending your message to the right person. It enlarges the font, has an audio playback to avoid those pesky autocorrects and even lets you save messages to send later when your mind may be a little clearer.

Our favorite part of the app is the warning meter, which flashes red when you are using too many misspelled or curse words. Yes, this app will actually know when you are getting too angry! You will receive a hilarious notification too. One may be, “You are highly intoxicated. Are you sure you want to send this?”

If you purchase the newest edition of the $0.99 application, you will be able to additionally use the Drunk Text Savior on Facebook and Twitter! We certainly think it’s the most convenient and embarrassment-saving app to date.

Created by Rocket Tier LLC, Drunk Text Savior was voted a Top 5 App for Students by Dialaphone.com and also received 4.5 out of 5 stars from the app store. It’s too useful not to buy, and hey, we could all use a little babysitting when it comes to our intoxicated text messages. Try it out and tell us how you like it!
