Ben Watts Puts Models on Deck
What else could a skater boy ask for than a sexy supermodel on his deck? Hot girls and sexy skaters always seemed to mesh well together. Perhaps it is that fearless vibe skaters have that we girls like so much. Whatever it may be, models seem to fit well with the edgy, raw, and indie feeling we get from those true grungy skaters. That is what Ben Watts thought, too, when he collaborated with 3×1.
English photographer, Ben Watts collaborated with 3×1 on a set of skateboard decks for a limited edition series. 3×1, known for producing their bespoke denim, in the heart of New York City, at their Soho flagship store and atelier, take a different route with their release of skateboard decks. Together, Watts and 3×1 produced the series of decks, each featuring a well-known top model, and on each deck are the likes of Jessica Hart, Lake Bell, Elsa Hosk, Behati Prinsloo, and Chanel Iman.
The killer thing about this epic collaboration between Watts and 3×1 is that all profits of the sales of the decks go to charity. There were only 60 decks made, all individually numbered for authenticity, and the decks alone will be available on April 5th for $100.
