Lara Mullen Embodies Purity in British Vogue

Recent newcomer Lara Mullen has been rocking the industry since she was scouted back in November 2011. Lara was actually scouted just a month before show season, and she has turned into the quintessential instant success. Strutting down the runway like she had done it her whole life, Lara had never before walked in heels before being scouted. Lara is walking for Prada’s Spring 12 shows (exclusive), as well as Celine, Dries Van Noten, Jonathan Saunders, Alexander Wang, and Givenchy. Not bad for a newbie! Lara is the kind of girl who just has that model quality; she was born to do it and the industry agreed. The modeling world is more of an industry that picks you, not the other way around. The true indicator of that mentality is found in cases like Lara’s, where a model is found just out and about, and a month later, finds herself walking for designers like Prada. Lara is definitely the new British star!
This editorial, shot by Josh Olins, depicts the true essence of ethereal purity, with Lara Mullen as his muse. Lara is dressed by stylist Lucinda Chambers, in garbs from Marc Jacobs, Yohji Yamamoto, and others, to convey this visionary look. The clothing was stunning, as stark white ruffles and laces mixed with structured dresses and voluminous adornments. Really finishing off this story was Jane Taylor Millinery’s amazing collection of bespoke hats, which Lucinda Chambers paired nicely with each look.
