Paris Est a Lou Lingerie
Outside of the world of Victoria’s Secret and Calvin Klein, there do exist other lingerie brands, and we just found one that we are dying to introduce to our bedrooms. As we all know, the French have always been known for being fabulous at practically everything. From cuisine, to art, to fashion, we can’t help but eat up everything that comes out of that country. So, it is no surprise that our latest naughty little find is, of course, Parisian. Paris Est a Lou may be an unfamiliar name to Americans, but in Paris and Europe, it’s a household intimates brand. Luckily for us, their latest campaign for spring/summer 2012 has reached our shores, injecting a little more sexy into our lives.
Featuring the sultry Kim Cloutier, the company’s latest campaign was beautifully executed in its simplicity. For the print ad, Cloutier was posed against a plain backdrop in an exquisite set of lingerie. Her makeup was extremely natural, and the desaturated image had a subtle drama to it. However, it was the video that created the ultimate fantasy. Between the wet hair and the tantalizing lyrics that filled the silence, the French showed us why less is more and simple is sexy.
Filmed in black and white, the images alternated between Kim’s shadow and detailed shots of the lingerie. We never saw provocative poses; instead, there were demure glimpses of her form that left a lot to the imagination. Now that is how you sell lingerie to men and women.
