Rihanna’s New Clothing Collection and Reality Series
The Rihanna and River Island clothing collaboration rumors are true! Rihanna very recently revealed that she will indeed be designing a sure-to-be hip and cool collection for the noted British brand. On her website the sexy songstress expressed, “I’ve been wanting to design my own collection for some time. River Island is the perfect partner for me to collaborate with and working with a British, family-run business also really appealed to me. I find London really inspiring and River Island loves to have fun with clothes. I’m looking forward to working with them and creating something really special.” Rihanna’s killer style and strong love for London are definitely well suited for River Island, as the label offers exciting wardrobe essentials. We’re so excited for this perfect pairing—edgy, British clothing, what could be better? There are hundreds of international River Island stores where fans can pick up their apparel and their website offers worldwide shipping (thankfully, for fashionistas across the pond). We can’t wait for our first glimpse of the line, which launches in Spring 2013.
Not only is our Barbadian beauty expanding her talent to include designing, but Rihanna is also executive producing a reality television series entitled “Styled To Rock!” Along with Nicola Roberts of Girls Aloud and sensational stylist Lysa Cooper, Rihanna will also host the design and styling competition. The winner will have the opportunity to create a unique ensemble for Rihanna to sport herself. Sadly for us, the show will only air in the U.K. which means we’ll be left waiting patiently for fellow YouTubers to stream the episodes online—British residents, can you hear us?
As excited as we are to see these big plans unravel, we beg you, Rihanna, please don’t stop the music!
