Stylishly Chic Spring Break Looks

While you may associate spring break with trashy attire, I’ve been loving all of the classically chic and polished dresses that scream spring fun while remaining classy.

While showing some skin is definitely sexy, it’s all about showing the right amount of it. I love the look of a short-skirted dress with a high collar, or a long maxi dress with a low neckline. Springtime is one of the most exciting times of the year to get dressed, since there’s the feeling of sheer exhilaration when you’re tossing aside winter peacoats and throwing on a short skirt.

Here are some of the best trends I’ve spotted this season.

Color Blocking

Color blocking has been a dominant trend, and I can’t get enough. Seeing a bright color can instantly make you happy, so embrace this trend for an extra joyful day. One helpful hint when color blocking is to pair pieces from within the same color family. For example, pair red pants with a pink top, or a mint green tee with a yellow skirt, and you can’t go wrong.

Whites

Nothing says “spring” like a crisp, bright white. I especially love white, lace dresses for springtime. The color is so versatile and fun, and it brings out any hint of tan in your skin. A pretty white skirt is perfect for a picnic, but don’t forget to pack a bleach pen in your bag!

Layering

While the breeze may be warming up, you can’t ditch layers forever. That’s why I love pairing every outfit with a great blazer. It’s available in so many fabulous spring colors, like teal, pink, and even white. A blazer is the perfect touch to a dress, skinny jeans, or shorts, and it will guarantee a chic finish to your spring ensemble!
