Tango With Tangerine
It’s official — the color of 2012 is tangerine! “Tangerine Tango,” according to the Pantone Color Institute, has been declared the color of 2012. And, I have to say, I love this look.
Orange has never been a color that I jump to, yet something about this bright, offbeat color makes a great statement for 2012, and I’m ready to embrace it. It’s such an enthusiastic in-your-face color that really adds a splash of fun to your daily getup.
There are so many ways to incorporate this look into your wardrobe. You can choose subtler accent pieces or decide to dive in with a bang by wearing it head-to-toe. Either way, this color is guaranteed to make heads turn, in a good way.
Glamour magazine recommends starting with a pair of flats or a simple scarf to make your statement. If you’re ready to go for the gold and rock the look like the runway, try a pair of tangerine skinnies or a peacoat. Skirts, heels, and accessories all flatter the tangerine trend, as well. For an afternoon lunch or a night on the town, flatter your lips with a coat of tangerine.
