Taylor Swift’s New Album: RED
Everyone, including we here at Dual Show, is anxiously waiting for Taylor Swift’s upcoming album, RED. On October 22, make sure to go to your local music store and line up to get a copy before they’re sold out, or simply download it online.
What makes this album so special? Swift is always coming up with surprises and this album is definitely something worth waiting for. The last time she released an album was back in 2012 with Speak Now, and we can’t wait to hear what our favorite country-pop songstress has in store for us this time. We’re also stoked about the artist collaborations on this particular new album—yes, Swift has been working with other talents, including Ed Sheeran!
The album’s first hit single, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” is already a download record breaker, with over two million downloads as of October 2012. Furthermore, the song has been ranked number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Canadian Hot 100. This catchy track is definitely one of Ms. Swift’s breakthroughs, as she mixes in her taste of pop music with a youthful-slumber party style music video.
At the beginning of the month, Swift also announced on Good Morning America: each Monday of October, she will hint out singles to her new numbers on the album, and the clips will be previewed on the show. Moreover, the songs will be ready for download that very same day—definitely exciting news for all you Swift fans out there. One of the songs, “Begin Again,” takes us back to her original country roots that gained her so much popularity when she first started out. The song tells a story about that moment where you go on that first date after a harsh break-up. The tune is soothing and the lyrics will be stuck in your head all day. Swift has also already started filming the music video for “Begin Again” in the land of romance—Paris.
Another song we can’t wait to download bears the same title as the name of the album, “RED.” This is a pop-country tune, and explains the emotions about love and the colors that seem to go with it.
