The notebook project
Do you have a notebook? How do you use it? Do you want the world to see it?
If yes, check this out!!
This really cool project Analogue Out has just started and everyone can be part of it. A young woman from Japan while quietly busy with her passions and hobbies – roller-skating, composing music – and a brilliant entrepreneurial mind full of creativity has come with a great idea which I would like to share with you…
What is this project all about?
The Notebook has really unique possibilities and much freedom, yet it’s all up to you how you use it and what you select to fill it up. Digital devices are getting easier to use, the operation is more intuitive and closer to what we used to use (eg. many actions in the computer like “drag and drop”). However, most of us use both, some of us have particular preferences of what to use, and many of us are constantly searching for better ways. We all have great ideas, and ideas want to come out.
What is the message of this project?
A brand-new notebook has enormous possibility. Note-taking is an intuitive action with simple tools; paper and pen. It shows the users’ inside personality like a mirror, reflects mind in both conscious and subconscious levels.
Why should people participate on your project?
Sometimes what you wrote in the notebook is private, and I totally respect that. In Business and the Academic field, creating notes and memos are fundamental actions. A couple years ago a book introduced how students in Tokyo University took notes, which garnered lots of attention and awareness. It seems like there are a significant number of people wanting to improve their note taking skill. But there are no golden rules as to best practices; somebody’s best way might not work for others. But commonplace is that everyone’s notebook is absolutely beautiful in its own special and unique way.
