Why You Should Take More Risks

Can you think about a time when you didn’t take a risk? That one risk you knew had the possibility of changing your life for the better? This is probably something you now regret not doing. Don’t worry, you have a few more chances.
Now, we aren’t talking life threatening risks here, just some risks that would surprise others and, most importantly, yourself. Just imagine the possibilities—you aren’t going to get anywhere in life if you sit around wondering “what if?” So, next time, take that risk. Here’s why:
It Changes Your Life. It’s pretty obvious but the more risks you take, the more your life will change. This won’t necessarily mean that all these changes will be good, but they will definitely be memorable. Open yourself up to change and see where it may take you!
It Adds A Little Excitement. There is always a time in your life when you’re stuck in a rut. Taking a risk might spice it up a little bit. You’ll be surprised at just how exciting, and maybe even rewarding, risk taking can be.
It Makes Feeling Uncomfortable Okay. Get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Part of taking a risk involves not feeling confident or comfortable. So, once you get used to this feeling, you’ll have no problem tackling more difficult situations.
Fewer Regrets. Probably one of the worst feelings in the world is regret. Taking a risk means that, whatever happens, you’ll never be left wondering what might have happened. Go on that job interview that you don’t think you’ll get—even if you don’t get it, at least you’ll know you’ve tried.
It Encourages Spontaneity. Being spontaneous can be one of the most attractive qualities in another person, as well as making you feel alive with that rush of adrenaline. Take that risk, because you never know who will be watching!
